Here is What you Will Learn By Listening
So I just got off this amazing podcast with Amy Porterfield and I feel like anyone can benefit from here goal setting methods she spells out for us in the amazing interview podcast that was just released.
The subject of course was “goal setting for the new year” but you can apply this method whenever you want.
It is always a good time to evaluate and modify the personal and business goals we set on a regular basis.
I really like the way that any breaks it down
Write Down Whats Worked and What is Not Working
One of my all time goals for the new year and for EVERY YEAR is to spend less time working and more time doing the things I love. That being said it is important to evaluate what works, and produces results while eliminating the activities you spend time on with very little results.
I think it’s a great idea to start out by writing down things that you didn’t the past write down things that worked and things that didn’t work with idea this is to start spending more time utilizing the items that do work in the new year and get rid of or eliminate the activities or items that did not work.
Always look for ways to be more efficient and produce more while working less. This is a great way to put your business on autopilot.
Setting Large “Hairy Scary” Goals
This idea of the large or the “hairy scary goal” as Amy puts it… The harry scary goal is is the large main objective of your business or personal goals this year.
For instance one of my personal goals could be to have an overall higher gross yearly income than the previous year before. That seems to be a pretty standard business goal right?
This large goal could seem really intimidating I may not have any idea how to tackle it the idea is to take your largest and scariest goal and break it down into many tiny mini goals in order to work backwards and achieve that ultimate goal, whatever that may be.
Breaking Down Large Goals to Smaller Mini Goals
When you’re looking at a really large goal you may not have any idea exactly what you need to do to start and achieve that goal so one of the things that I like to do is to work backwards so to speak and break that large unattainable intimidating hairy scary goal into several smaller goals that I can work towards every single day on a regular basis to ultimately achieve what will become my larger or hairy scary New Years goal.
HERE IS A GREAT SHEET I USE TO MANAGE MY DAILY GOALS AND TASKS
Break Down your Large Goals into smaller mini goals in order to reach your main objectives fast and efficient.
I like to write these smaller goals down. They can be as small as making a phone call or setting deadlines for projects.
I feel like anybody what are you’re an entrepreneur or from any business at all I can use these techniques to make 2014 your best year ever. I hope you will download and listen to the audio podcast where I learned this as I find massive value in always learning and growing with by modeling after people who have achieved something that I want.
By sharing this with you I hope that you look forward to your Goal Setting for the New Year and leave your comments below or share this posting on Facebook if you’ve found this quick training to be helpful.

Great training Jason I couldn’t agree more with your advice for goal setting and leading a balanced life! I’ve actually created an entire system that helps you set goals and achieve them, that is based on principles that are very similar to what you’ve described in this article.
I’d love for you to check out my articles on goal achievement and let me know what you think! There’s some articles as well as some resources available at my blog (ExcellenceForEveryone.com) for goal setting. One is even free!
Keep up the great work!
Thanks Vance. Thanks for reading and following. It’s appreciated.
