There are several reasons it's important too keep a pulse on how many and what properties are reduced in price...

First it is a good indication of how the market is doing, the more price reductions we are seeing the more likely we are swinging toward a buyer controlled or balanced market.

Also... If you ARE looking to buy a home soon price reduced homes are perfect pickings for negotiating a good price.
